Don Valley Deposits

Don Valley Deposits

Over much of its extent, the Don Valley is underlain by Selwyn's wholly owned Nod claims. The Nod claims are located in the valley bottom flanking Don Creek and cover the approximate 7 kilometre gap between the Anniv and Brodel deposits. Prior to the 2005 drilling program the area had not been tested by diamond drilling. Previous geochemical surveys by Expatriate Resources Ltd. had defined several geochemical anomalies suggesting the presence of the Active Member.

The claims cover approximately 7 kilometres of the Active Member on the apparent northeast limb of a synclinal trough. Prior to the 2006 drilling, the favourable strata were projected to occur at a shallow depth in the valley bottom and to represent an attractive untested target. Drill hole DON-004 intersected 39 metres of the Active Member grading 3.64% zinc and 0.99% lead consisting of an upper and lower zone of higher grade mineralization. Other drill holes indicated that there are numerous fault offsets to the Active Member and that additional drilling is warranted to define the near-surface distribution and grade of the Active Member.

A total of 42 holes were completed in Don Valley in 2006 resulting in discovery and definition of NI 43-101 compliant mineral resources in each of the four deposits as follows:

Each of these deposits is open to expansion along strike and down dip. Of particular interest is higher grade intercepts in DON-042 and DON-044 that suggest an improvement in grade with depth, as illustrated in the Don deposit cross-section. Similarly, the higher grades in holes DON-046 and DON-037 in the Don East and HC West deposits respectively, suggest a transitioning with depth to higher grades.

The initial drilling in the 2007 program exploredthe continuity of this higher grade mineralization. Continuity of such mineralization would imply a core zone with possible regional extent (see 2007 news releases).
