Investor Overview
Selwyn Resources Ltd. is a publicly traded, Canadian base metals exploration and development company. The company's core project is the World class Selwyn Project, located in eastern Yukon. The Selwyn Project has reactivated the Howard's Pass zinc-lead district, and since 2005 the company has spent over $50.7 million on exploration, development and environmental programs. The $25 million budget in 2007 focused on diamond drilling, environmental baseline, and site engineering studies. The 2008 program is focused on providing detailed information for completion of a prefeasibility study, and to support a permitting application in late 2008.
In January 2007, Selwyn Resources completed a Preliminary Assessment for the Selwyn Project which indicated excellent potential for a long life mine, having large-scale, low cost zinc and lead production. An updated NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate was released in April that reported on the nine deposits that occur over a strike length of 26.2 kilometres. The company's Selwyn Project land holdings cover 321 square kilometres of claims covering 60 km long trend of the Howard's Pass District.
